In order to enforce German payments as arranged in the Treaty of Versailles, Belgium and France occupy the Ruhr.

The occupation incites political polarisation, pleas for rearmament and racism towards the French colonial troops. 2/13

The full artwork, Polarisation. V excited to share where this will be featured (more soon) but for now, I wanted to challenge the perception of divisions as straight lines & explore the ways we become tied up in the stories we tell ourselves.
