Process

My recent thoughts on painting.
This is not a detailed explanation of my painting process. Rather, it is a story about how I have come up with my own answers to some of the questions that I had not fully understood before, or that I had been working on somewhat arbitrarily. There

i’ve decided to forego the usual alt images instead and do full sketch pages instead
these pages are done at the same time as the piece usually as a study for the outfit or as an after thought
hope this format is better as i guess it shows my thoughts and doodles of the process

Got a comment on my last making-of video like, “Why do artists even need rough sketches?” 🤔
So this time I’m sharing the whole process from the messy rough to the clean line art!

Yeah, sketches help polish the final piece, but for me, it’s also about testing ideas and finding

For those that have been curios about my process here is gesture and draft, these are my steps before doing my binary brush lineart. (I likely won't finish the top two drawings right now, want to draw something different)

Posting this before I ruin it with the rest of the process lol
