After watching The Black Cauldron, I couldn't help think about how the Horned might have looked as a human. And I admit I was also inspired by take on his human to.

Andreas Deja's concept art for Walt Disney's THE BLACK CAULDRON (1985), depicting the three witches Orddu, Orwen and Orgoch. This animated dark fantasy film was based on the first two of Lloyd Alexander's five-book series THE CHRONICLES OF PRYDAIN (1964-68).

A heartfelt shoutout to my first fictional ship, Taran and Eilonwy from the Chronicles of Prydain.

No idea who the artist is (link if you know).

What was your first ship?

My wife asked me to do one of her favorite characters, Eilonwy from the Black Cauldron! Hope I did her justice =3

The most feared man in all of Prydain, The Horned King!
I probably went a little overboard on this design but I absolutely love the way it turned out!

Just about done with the Prydain lineup, I'll add the Horned King and then probably move on to scenes and boards.

My design for Taran from a Prydain concept I'm working on.

I made this for a challenge some time ago: a redesign of the Horned King from The Chronicles of Prydain and Disney's Black Cauldron

As much as I enjoyed Narnia and Tolkien, it was Lloyd Alexander’s Prydain books (specifically Castle of Llyr) and the Moomintroll books that made me the most... just look at those illustrations!

One Disney world I'd like to see is Prydain and the Horned King's Castle from The Black Caludron film. (And maybe a Dark Kairi boss battle too!)
