Shimanami Tasogare (Our Dreams At Dusk)!!
it's a story about queer people living their lives, with focus on a boy struggling with his queerness 🥺
slice of life, angsty, emotional and beautiful!! I have read this at least 5 times. It's an inspiration to me for storytelling ^^ https://t.co/A6LRiem5KD

@LonestarTallBoi @quendergeer Considering the avatar people burned their careers to the ground and had their series nuked by nickelodeon to get "two women look at each other," I'm happy with any overt undeniable expression of queerness
Reminds me of this fight Hirsch lost
@IAmESpecter i currently only do digital art, but im hoping to soon start work on an analog horror project about religion, queerness, and being raised in the south <3
i’m at least noticing a process with dc’s treatment with diana’s queerness. she went from just having a rainbow background or holding a flag where even straight characters got similar covers in these same years TO actually standing along with *only* canon queer characters
'I marvel at the tangled vine of my insides
tugging my lungs to a heave;
I choke on myself then.'
'Bougainvillea Boy' by Jay T John explores an individual's experience with their body and queerness.

thankfully that changed and there are more spaces for these stories nowadays, however the queerness in shoujo and josei is still present and i'd dare to say some of the best stories of their genre are being published on these demographics
6. Relationship with queerness
To keep it short, back in the day there were literally no spaces for bl and gl stories at all, so who started to publish them? shoujo magazines, this is where some of the first mangas with a queer protagonists were born
Maybe it's just me but sometimes I feel that Dc & Marvel fans treat these characters as "stepping stones" to their favs becoming queer and not characters whose personality, stories & queerness is worth acknowledging

against the straightness of this world,
the experience of discovering you're queer
(and embracing and conveying that queerness throughout your life)
has its hilarious moments.

Just read this manga. Despite the idea seems absurd, it's actually a very sweet and wholesome manga about platonic marriage who married for benefits in order to hide their queerness.
Had my first session for Rhodon & it was 9hours of pure insanity, agony, lore and queerness so in honor of that here's him again 🤸
It's my 🎂 day!! It would be amazing if you would share my art to celebrate 💛 I'm turning 31 and slowly recovering from burnout. I hope to make many more paintings and comics about food, queerness and nature 🌿
I think Kit would be very surprised by homophobia bc he grew up with the pirates and Baloo, like he would just assume queerness is the norm
