@ComicsintheGA Most of my old ones are "funny books" like Pogo Possum #12 and Walt Disney Comics & Stories #134 from the 1950s...I have a ton of Classic Illustrated, but they are so hard to determine what printing they are...I do have some of the older versions, but many were reprints.

Writer John Broome was born OTD in 1913. The writer contributed large chunks of the DCU over his career, including the creation of Green Lantern, Phantom Stranger, Elongated Man and the Silver Age Flash redesign. My first Broome stories were his 50s SF reprints. He died in 1999.
