My lunch time doodle today has been the Rhondda’s own Gary Le Vell.

Gary has been a friend of BAGSY since the very beginning.... I remember him purchasing one of my very first drawings in a charity auction.....

So it’s even more special for me to do a drawing for him in return

Kenneth George Chapman 1908-1993 b. East Ham, London, painter & printmaker, deafness hindered his early education, but he went on to train at the Slade & R.A. A visit to the Rhondda in 1953 began a “love affair” & he became an affectionate chronicler of its landscape & community.
