Leider klingt die Beschreibung meistens nach kitschige Romamce, dabei ist das ne Serie über Politik. Mit einem weiblichen Shonen-Protagonisten. In einem fiktiven Land, das an die Tang(?)-Dynastie angelehnt ist.

There are a few, but I go with Saiunkoku Monogatari. It's a very political series inspired by ancient China. There is romance, but not too much and the female lead feels a like a Shonen protagonist. It's what I wish Twelve Kingdoms had more of.
