Attempt at a male burial (6th Century) in the style of Victor Ambrus. The remains were found at Barrow Clump on #salisburyplain in 2018. Shield boss oddly absent. The details will be published in the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society Magazine. #archaeology

#inktober2021 17) Collide. The Oscar winning movie ‘1917’ was largely filmed on #salisburyplain. One scene sees a German aircraft collide with a French barn.The set was so realistic that swallows nested in it (two broods). The sites were assessed for archaeology beforehand too.
