Reposting an updated version of my Assassin painting. I've added some more highlights to the character, details to the surrounding trees and blowing leaves so as to fit in better with the movement of the cape.

Continuing on with the sci-fi theme I went with something a little different for this sketch. Up until this point, cute or comical elements have had no real place in my work so I decided to change things up a bit this time. How are you changing up your work?

Artist Tip: Kick the Imposter Syndrome by honing your craft, honouring your unique journey & forget about that illusory ‘destination’ that will never be reached.

I took a little break from my commissions to work on a quick photostudy. I was less concerned with all the ‘details’ and focused more on texture and energy. Photo Credit: Zarina Khalilova

A sketch, which I created last year, where I just went with the flow to see where it would take me. I also set a time limit so I wouldn’t be able to get stuck on unnecessary details and a ton texture brushes. Sometimes no plan is the best plan.

Here’s a recent portrait commission which I created for . For this illustration I wanted to indicate a softness for the overall features but to also include some traditional painting textural elements in both the portrait & the background.

Here's a Frazetta masterstudy that I painted in oils from a few years ago.
It’s always interesting to do these studies as I really try to get in the artist’s head and emulate their visual language, if only for a short time.

Vows. I created this painting after I got married to my amazing wife in 2016. Accurately depicting all of the elements in this scene was extremely challenging at the time but, as a result, was one of those 'leveling up' paintings for me.
