I get how since he never would've naturally thought of it, he may have forgotten about it since also.
But if Kubo does continue the Jaws of Hell arc, I would hope to see Zangetsu used in ways that call back to this & beyond; invoking traits of every race.

Anime did well depicting it for the most part but yh Yhwach is a big physical presence also. Feels like a general that has done his time in the trenches, hands on etc. In contrast to Aizen who could hang but felt partial to manipulation & his mind first..

Aizen & Shunsui are characters where I enjoy all of their dialogue & feel all they say/do has value. Not sure if this is addressed later but I really wanted to see them acknowledge how Shunsui was likely used as the final nail in the Kisuke framing plot..

It's so crazy how Aizen had the person he framed be the one to send over the note, knowing he wouldn't peek..
Aizen not only became involved in the academy to put everyone under his Shikai, but also as a means of analysing his future pawns to that extent.

I don't get some not liking this & for me it felt expected. With multiple references of an upper limit that a SR can reach & how different types of souls exist like different species in Bleach. I assumed every type had a similar max cap, under which all was possible.

The build up to his intro was just godly.. Sometimes I miss the days when average WSJ pace was slow enough to have an introduction take almost a full chapter. The build up didn't feel like it it dragged & set the anime up for a clean 1 to 1 adaptation. 👌🏽

I'm enjoying little nuances in characters actions depeinging on how they feel about what's happening throughout the arc. Soul Society incorporates mystery + individual feelings so well in that regard. Many smaller interaction are feeling richer to me now.

Retsu being alive means all subsequently named Kenpachi were falsely crowned.
This fight to the death has to happen for Zaraki to truely become our Kenpachi. She has to die..
