The Mosque, completed in 1642 during #Mughal #ShahJahan's reign, this @akdn restored UNESCO World Heritage Tentative site is considered to be the most Ornately decorated Mughal Mosque.
Today On 27 Oct 1605, the 3rd Mughal Emperor Akbar breathed his last at Agra.
It was he who slaughtered the 30,000 civilians during the bloody siege of Chittorgarh in 1567.

The #Mughals relished their favourite addiction (Mango) with #Jahangir and #ShahJahan awarding their khansamahs for their unique creations like Aam #Panna, Aam ka Lauz and Aam Ka Meetha #Pulao, a delicate #mango dessert sold all through the summer in #Shahjahanabad.
During #ShahJahan’s reign that portable tandoors were introduced, and by 1700 the #Naan had reached the masses
It was a regular breakfast item in areas like #Lucknow, #Bhopal and #Rampur.”
It also appealed to #European taste buds and thrivede in #Britain’s culinary landscape
