Aaand version 1.2 is finished! He now wears a scarf (not naked anymore) and is using the Poiyomi unity shader. I've learned so much by doing this and for 1.3 he will get a maid outfit and ARkit shapekeys!

Even though I'm busy with a job, I try to get some work done on the Parodius models when I can. The rigging for Hikaru and Michael are almost done, but I can't decide if Hikaru should have a rigged mouth this time around, or if it should be shapekeys...

I finally have my Low Poly put together! Now to move onto weight painting and shapekeys! Really happy how the low poly turned out 23k polys total and 1 material ☺️

Started on my (new?) model last night in lieu of sleep last night after wrapping up some work😅Probably going to keep this one simple since it suits my personal style more, but next step is texturing and shapekeys

The adorable seal base will be coming out TOMORROW!! (As long as no new errors pop up)
This base will include body shape customization shapekeys, 4 substance files and their 4k textures, a tail puppet, and a quest friendly setup! Prefabs and scenes are included! Are you excited??

Latter, actually. I needed to make sure this model works in vrchat so I didn't use any shapekeys or drivers, just good old deform bones and rot constraints.
The belly is the densest part of the model.
The green deformer bones you see help hold up its volume like tent posts

I was asked how this baked normal worked(old project) and I went back to the project and finished it I now have a functional normal texture that works and preserves normals without breaking them when posed via shapekeys or bones. No more data transferring!!!

Quick little pose test with her basic rigging! Still need to give her a bunch of nice controllers for some better animation/deforming potential, then it's on to shapekeys for all sorts of expressions and polish!
