mmm i’m wondering if i should do just bikini or with sailor suit? i’m a little lazy to do both
bikini - good for summer, focus on skin shading
sailor- full design, more interesting shapes, "classic"
Even when I stopped paying much attention to DB, it STILL came to loop back around into my artstyle. You can definitely see it in the way that I draw humans(pay attention to the arms, legs, head shapes, and eyes). I even do the black shadow under the chin LOL
but since mecha is comprised of shapes, shapes and even more shapes, it took me awhile to make it look not off-model (but there's still some mistake here orz)
it's just easier to look off model with mechs since they need to strike balance between clunky and "flowing" with it orz
@JabroniCalzones ...they could always learn by scratch bruh☠️
learn from basic shapes, how light works, simplifying objects.
Heck every great artist art style had a one uniting basis for it. And their rendering is how they express shadows/light
@Archie_Knighty yeah, copying the shapes in the photos so that I can remember the characteristic shapes of a certain material.
Essentially, I’m just drawing shapes, such as the shape of objects, the shape of light, and the shape of highlights.
back then I need to use a lasso fill + border effect to draw mecha shapes, now I just draw em' from scratch with my ballpoint pen
I have became a different man
@b0_nesaw @ReptileGames Well I identified 3 main shapes, just rotate them to split your angle. Hope that helps
Neeko lvl 1: Neeko can take many shapes, but her heart never changes--always leading her back to her family and her forest.
@ultralovedeluxe I definitely try my best to but I’m very bad with using different face shapes, I always accidentally revert back to ditzy dough eyed anime girl with my expressions and face shapes but that’s something I’m going to have to be better at
A surreal painting of a mystical creature with wings and multiple eyes, the background is an abstract mixture of colors and shapes, artstation, concept art, matte painting, smooth #aiart #aigeneratedart
A more approachable #couture that is still unique in the choice of colours and shapes, not to mention the quirky bucket hats that have inspired my own @NinaRicci illustration: https://t.co/9Y4QhMoxtE
Wanted to touch up on werewolves and more muscular body shapes, so I ended up drawing @StarSpacewolf's sona as I owed her a favour.
It ended up being more than practice lmao
Has a background and even a bloodied variant.
Enjoy!
Kind of in love with Stephen Cartwright's art in particular lately. Very sweet and almost unmistakably from the late 80s / early 90s. The warm colors, the chunky shapes, the thick confident one-stroke cloth folds, oh man. It's like an illustration equivalent of a cozy blanket.
Took a while, but I've made a pack of potion images, with different shapes, contents and fill levels!
