Drawing pre 2000s mecha/robots will help you improves as a character artist because these are all the fundamental 3D shapes. https://t.co/qig1f3P8Mb

Trying a new concept for Normality. Other shapes.
Yeah, I know she looks like Yachiru. I love that hairstyle!

New linework! A space frigate / maybe destroyer class I reckon? Going for some triangular shapes.
Will shade later XD

I think their hair color does look similar, at least it looks that way in the original author's color illustrations. Also I think Tohru and Kimi have different bangs, hair color, skin tone, and eye shapes.

Trying something new. Drawing the faces and the eyes with some contours and no eyelashes. Hopefully this might help with the 3d shapes.
But tbh, I feel like shit right now for going back and forth without any real progress. https://t.co/b13yoLqIk5

Bro. I plan to practice more lineart by looking at Marc's example. Then it hit me hard that his sketch conveys all the information about the 3d shapes. How and when will I be able to do this? This is so painful. When is this training arc going to finish? Help...

I kinda missed just messing around with softer shapes.

Takahiro Kishida's designs of the early 2000s are an embodification of what good designs should be in my opinion. They're loose, but have very distinct and well defined shapes. They're simple, but every character has their own personality. And of course they look great in motion!

Can’t believe that I didn’t post this Vash I made yet? He has great shapes.

This model made me remember that i still need good topology for good blendshapes... Its a bit hard to do on low poly though, I'll do better next time.

That's actually a myth. Crocs used to be very diverse and went through many shapes. The early ones even looked like dinosaurs.

The ones that are left today are of just one variety.

Of course of all characters I created things about, the best was Loki in various shapes. Body changing? Great. Appearance changing? Great. Secret jotun look? Great! The magical chara that has all forms of xeno for your creativity.

Wanted my original sona back to be my AVI but still retain celebrating 100 years of Disney and I think the ribbon matches perfectly well with the background of pastel-colored shapes.

Painting a portrait of Trout tonight.
This is how my paintings start out fyi. A crapy pencil drawing to create landmarks, then pencil crayons overtop to define the shapes. Next, a light wash of gouache overtop to block out the colours & to start the shadows.

Tony chopper drawing recreated not copied. Working on dimensions and shapes. Still got a loooooong road to go
