It’s Here’s the solitary bees that were cast in my ‘Guide to British Bees’ animation and their nesting habits of choice.

Osmia Bicolor is a bee that's definitely on my list of "bees I'd love to see". This unique wildbee is known for nesting in empty snail shells! She'll lay 4-5 eggs in a shell, then camouflage it with chewed up leafs under twigs and grass stems she carries herself!

What I love most about these 2019 observational nesting boxes is once the boys (see the moustache) have ‘visited’ the girls, it doesn’t stop there.

As from here on the observational window allows the observer to check in to how the females lays each egg
