No wonder the overall feeling of SK8 the Infinity episode 7-8 felt very familiar to me. Okouchi also wrote the script for episodes 18 and 19 of Stellvia where the main character Shima reaches a similar breaking point.

Interesting combination of a military story w/classic shoujo anime elements & aesthetics. CGI was less charming than Stellvia but the Shichirō Kobayashi art direction and backgrounds are fantastic with many postcard memories abound. I liked it a lot. Wauf is cool. AERU!

Very charming space based scifi show. The dated CGI was honestly very charming & blended well with the general art style. While the drama in the back half got a bit repetitive, I really enjoy the whole cast. Seeing Uno Makoto designs in a non ecchi show is interesting

The debut of Stellvia in 2020. This was the anime that gave angela (band) their first big break and it was cool hearing their music during the event stages. Tatsuo Sato, Stellvia's director even tweeted about its debut.
