I got asked in a discord why I always focus on cools and warms/values when I do studies/break downs/master studies.

We are more sensitive to contrasts than we are to color. So it's easier for me to study if I'm figuring out the contrasts that are making a picture work.

@Kaukret If you take a photo, someone does a study of it. Then start selling prints, how'd you feel about that?

I'm sure for study sake it's fine, just credit the photographer, I'm starting to put the link on my studies.

@andthegrunlings I've recently been winding down by working on these quick Elden Ring 'plein air' studies. Just find a quiet place in the game to sit, paint and listen to the ambience.
