I like this book. So much I bought it twice.
It's a bit heavy on the Christian themes, but it's still a very solid story about giant robots and evil supervillains.
Shame the author never followed through on the sequel.

For the villains, its easy. Just take a page from TF Animated since they had human supervillains. Either the color of the suits are the recurring villains or make them into chums of the week.
