I went through so many tablets though, Wacoms, XP-Pens (best), Surface (the second worst).

My first tablet was a Wacom Bamboo I got as a present and last year I treated myself with a screen tablet. I'm so glad I bought it, it's so much better to work on for me.

@bara_moe_bltch I draw on my phone, but I'm a total cheat. It's not hard. I use a Note 20 Ultra which has a great built-in stylus w/ pressure sensitivity. Works better than my Wacom pen tablets and is much more portable.
