I spent today with Year 7 and 8 students at Smithton High School. I couldn’t have asked for a better final day in Tassie. Such a switched on group of kids.

The Edge of the World
Windy & cold! Photos do not convey how amazing it is. Really does feel like the world’s edge. The waves are crashing quite a fair way off, but they are large and loud and violent. It feels like they want to rush at you and sweep you away.

I visited two schools today, heading off to Redpa Primary School in the afternoon. A small school in the middle of expansive countryside, it was a pure delight. Such a lovely bunch of kids and teachers. I wish I’d had longer there.

Love this bit of art that’s up on a library wall in Edith Creek Primary School. I was there this morning.

I finished today with a visit to the whisky bar at The Angel’s Share. WOW! I tried a couple of glorious whiskys which I can not afford to buy. The Heartwood “Shot in the Dark” is without doubt the most glorious whisky I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.

Today at Forest PS. 5/6s got bloodthirsty in planning a murder/mystery set at a historic mansion with a maze. The mum is murdered in the dining room with a knife and fork by the dad, and the mayor is murdered in maze with a Swiss Army knife by his assistant. 😱

When I got to Pinmatik Lookout on the top of The Nut in Stanley yesterday, I caught me some Pokémon and took over the Pokégym. 😬 And I managed to get an Altaria to pose for some pics. 😎

I’m at Smithton Primary School for the day. All set up beside their Alice in Wonderland mural. 😀

My environmentally friendly, reusable Penguin coffee cup insisted on a stop in the town called Penguin. Who was I the argue?
