No joke, Aggro and his kind were initially based on the Tinkerbats from Shantae and the Susuwatari from Totoro and Spirited Away.
That was just in the first couple sketches though. Aggro's character became more developed as I wrote him into scenes and got him talking.

You know, I've never really asked Risky Boots about the tinkerbats.

They can't handle much on their own, but when you have hundreds of em, they all get little jobs they can manage.
