Well heres the thing,

I don't think this version of the Tripods is BAD. Its just that there hasn't been a film adaptation with these designs yet because i think its more alien like than what we have.

Sometimes you buy art that reminds you of childhood. I just added to my collection a great piece by Bond+Age I that reminded of a book a read in elementary school "The White Mountains" -- the first sci-fi book i read. Tripods!!!

Yes, the first illustrated tripods were rather stiff and construction crane in their appearance (shown here). The illustrations that appeared in the French edition have so much more character to them, I’m certainly much more a fan of the Corrêa renditions.
