My OC is based on a vampiresquid! They aren’t really squids but more of an inbetween of Squids and Octopie so he has features of both species (I call his exact species vampyrling)
It’s also the reason for his bioluminescence and the spikes inside of his tentacles!

Living in low oxygen environments, the vampire squid has the lowest metabolic rate of all cephalopods! They are also neutrally buoyant which means they don’t use up much energy swimming.
