I try to understand what type of explosion it will be and began to draw from simple  schemes.

Some new sketches from following the course. My idea: A mushroom explosion, where a 2nd explosion happens and rips the existing smoke appart. Currently I'm blocking out shapes, forms & volumes of the smoke.
