I do like that Mark has genuine temper issues, I've seen people claim its some sort of racial trait of the Viltrumites like a DND class and I think that's a hilarious misread of this series intentions but maybe thats just because it's more interesting to me as a character flaw
While I do think it's a bit late for the soft pitch, it is fun that this parallels Allen's meeting with Mark, both sides are courting him, and while it's clear the Viltrumites are evil it's not quite clear that the Coalition is entirely good.
