The same location also smashed the April national record by a full +1.1°C. The record is now +44.8 °C (112.6°F).

Today 13 April made history again in South Africa. With a minimum temperature of 31.7C set the highest minimum temperature ever recorded in April in the whole Southern Hemisphere. The max. of 44.8C pulverized the national monthly record of 43.7C.
