The protagonist is a hunter named Arnen. He and his sister Karissa live in Pell, a small village named after a traveler who settled there long ago. Arnen is headstrong and skilled with a bow. He and his friend Krell hunt meat to feed the village.

In honor of the turkeys roasted and enjoyed today, here is one of the main NPCs in Rita! She acts as huntmaster and tells you where to find rare and dangerous enemies to battle. Lineart by as usual.

I dont want to reveal too much of the antagonists in but I just finished up coloring the new art for the hobgoblin Qa'mar and he's looking real cool!

The last few weeks have been new changes to maps and some updates to ally sprites to get them closer to their character art and make them less generic blobs. Here's some screens w/ new leafy bits and path texture!

Update: I think Pell is done (again) and this new path texture lets me really accentuate things like the dirty edges of the stone area near the well. It's a bit tedious but now that it's all set up I'm really excited to get it into the other maps.

Finally ready show off a big upgrade in tree/shrub objects! Really excited to move to a more mature, cluster based style than my older approach, where I'd make a shape and then detail the inside.

Some very exciting things to announce for today for I've redone the art for this game twice now, but never revisited the character style, so it was time to do just that! I'm pleased to announce has given Arnen a new look!
