My mum sent me this 😂
I said "you completely over estimate how much money I'll have when you're old. I can't afford a nursing home. How far do you reckon you'll get though, as far as Weymouth?"
Mum "I'm not telling YOU where I'm going."
Where's the trust 😂

Chalk Figure Near Weymouth, Eric Ravilious, 1939. This equestrian figure was carved into Osmington Hill in 1808, near Weymouth in #Dorset to celebrate George III’s patronage of the seaside town. The original artwork is in the collection of @NatGalleryCan.
Good morning John @JohnTizard & thank you, as always. Here's one which I've only shown here once or twice which I hope you'll like. This was sold at auction as "River Scene" by Phyllis Bray from the early to mid 1930s. It might actually have been here view of "Weymouth Harbour". https://t.co/jonSBCCx4T

George III & Queen Charlotte celebrated their 33rd wedding #anniversary in 1794 at #Weymouth - marking the occasion by donning the king's Hare Hunting Uniform. After dinner they 'sat quiet' till 8pm & then had a ball which lasted till 2 in the morning.

#Holiday 18th-century style: in 1794 the royal family went to #Weymouth, where a typical day was: morning walking on the esplanade, back to read for 3 hours, dinner, more reading, back onto the esplanade where we 'met those we saw in the morning'
