Idol's concept is born out of the contest rules: I had to create a character with a wire coming out of their back, so I decided to make it a microphone attached to a boombox.

So, a while ago I participated on something called "Make a Good Robot Master", essentially it was a for-fun character design to make up a character that would fit on the classic series. And I wound up designing 3: Ghost Woman (legless), Idol Woman (wire) and Casino Man (chest).
