Sure, Twitter is a mess, but I'll keep posting art until they turn off the lights. That said, here's a special "Sketchbook Sunday" showing the process in developing the cover image for "The Search for WondLa", which got a refresh in anticipation of the upcoming series.🎨
While organizing old files I came across these two from 10 years ago. The tight, controlled inking style is similar to the illustrations done for the WondLa books, which was working on at the time.🖋 #beautyandthebeast

From the archive: We redesigned the WondLa cover art when book 1 went into paperback. The feedback from sales was that the original image wasn't edgy enough and the light dust jacket was prone to scuffing. A bummer--though I was excited Suzanne Collins was willing to blurb it.👍
More colorized art from The WondLa trilogy. These were created for the Japanese editions. I'd love to fully colorize all three books someday...

10 years ago I was on planet Orbona creating visuals for Eva Nine’s story “The Search for WondLa”. These character development sketches were referenced throughout my writing process. I was inspired by turn-of-century lithography and the comic book genius, Jean Giraud “Moebius”.
