Since Woolworths is trending I picked up a lot of music in Woolworths on cassette. Albums by Iron Maiden, White Zombie, Machine Head, Fear Factory, Napalm Death and more besides.

It was nearer than going into town and had a surprisingly good music section.

Oddly, in the 1960s/70s there were 2 well-known Ladybird brands, completely unrelated: one made kids’ clothing (stocked by Woolworths) & one published books.
Artist worked for both. In this poster for the clothing brand you can see echoes of his fairytales
