As Yasuomi Umetsu was key animator on everything from AKIRA to GRAVE OF RHE FIREFLIES the actual art style and animation is exceptional. It has reinvigorated my desire to check out more of these mid90s OVAs so any recommendations would be welcome.

Speaking of anime with "1 really intriguing episode that never continued past that, isn`t that a shame" has anyone seen the Nakoruru (Samurai Showdown spinoff) OVA episode with character designs by Yasuomi Umetsu. I waited and waited for a continuation ... but it never came. 😢
