When reading Thrawn Ascendancy, for some reason, I could NOT stop picturing Qilori as Waiting Zhdun, no matter how hard I tried. Logically I knew that was not was Timothy Zahn intended. But my brain insisted.
So when him and Thrawn interacted this is what I saw in my head.

1.Bless Tim Zahn. He was the only author that understood what many Star Wars women fans wanted after ROTJ & he wasn't afraid to write it if a bit dry. Action mixed with some romance & a sense of Luke's story being unfinished. We were denied a full reward by the OT ending.

Alrighty! Well when I first began my canon novel path I went with the 2017 Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn. However being a trilogy that can overwhelm some new star wars readers. So I recommend Master and Apprentice by Claudia Grey. A fantastic stand alone novel.

Timothy Zahn created a cute, tough tomboy strawberry blond smuggler lady who has a yandere love/hate relationship with Luke Skywalker, and corporate Disney didn’t realize what a great idea that was. It’s like Zahn gift wrapped a sure fire hit for them and they missed it.
