Me (a fool): oh she’s talking about Inza right? Are we gonna get a reunion??… oh it’s just zauriel.

It's funny how as covers go this would be a perfect place to plop Tomorrow Woman on. Like. It is LITERALLY A TAKE ON THE 90'S JLA. Zauriel who was introduced ONE ISSUE AFTER TOMORROW WOMAN IS ON IT.

0 4

Zauriel and the Time Trapper get name dropped in the latest The Flash episode. What if he has something to do with Godspeed?.

0 2

Zauriel, the justice league had an Angel as a member at one point

JLA The thundering conclusion, um, concludes in this issue. I’m sure plans evolved as the books were created, but this really feels like such a well-planned story, with everything from Zauriel to Aztek coming to bear in the end. Fantastic.

Zauriel dying in the Watchtower explosion and coming back to the Silver City to rally the troops is fitting. Also finding out that the host is preparing for the next world rather than helping fight. Makes things grim, eh?

0 1

Zauriel being disturbed by Prometheus' crooked house is probably a big deal.

JLA - Paradise Lost I’m not entirely sure how they beat Asmodel. I guess a big part of it had to do with Neron being a fickle ally. Still an entertaining read that ends by positioning Zauriel as an auxillary member of the team.

J'onn and Zauriel vs. Asmodel, Neron, and both an angelic and infernal host. Seems fair.

This series concludes with JLA: Paradise Lost by Mark Millar, Ariel Olivetti, Daniel Vozzo, Heroic Age, and Chris Eliopoulos.

Asmodel's forces rage against the Silver City with only Zauriel and the Martian Manhunter left to stand in his way.

JLA - Paradise Lost So, we decided to do this little divergence because I thought the Zauriel arc and involved characters were interesting...and this doesn’t disappoint the expectations that I had. This first issue, it seems like a fun sidestep from the full run.

0 6

JLA Lots of setup in this issue, which sees Zauriel showing up with a presumably a host of biblical bad guys (I think?) right on his heels. Otherwise, this issue sees the League do some fighting and take some licks.

I've said before that Aztek could kind of fill that Hawkman role, but we've also got more explicit referencing here with Aquaman questioning whether Zauriel was Hawkman briefly. Makes sense, because wings.

Also from last night: Zack Davisson () and Zauriel (). Appropriately enough, I stopped here to catch more Zs.

You know, I've liked Zauriel since I was eleven, but I've never drawn him until I was drunk at thirty

Aquaman: So what got the good sister riled up?

Zauriel: I said God had no gender.

DC miniseries 1997

JLA: Paradise Lost

I thought this would lead to a Zauriel regular series but it wasn't to be.
