I researched to find artists new to me on here and researched anime backgrounds from different eras, which led to a zigzag of texture and conveyance.
Artists often hit walls where they can't reverse-engineer what they're observing and that seems to be the case at the moment
Trying to create less work for yourself leaves you with the nagging feeling of trying to spruce it up, to make each reuse more distinct. That or you bungle the shortcut you try and make. Either way, just as much time spent as a rhetorical 'normally-produced page'

To be honest LTC and the Cuphead trailer are more inconsistent and maybe worse off for it IMO. They're better at repeatedly creating the illusion of 'full motion', then breaking it afterward with characters being digitally squashed/stretched or half-tweened in some way
