I feel like if we got to see the journy of aang becoming an adult and creating the new world people would be more open to Korra.

We had so much fun seeing children go on whimsical adventures that when korras series came around we didn't want to watch adult problems.

which was sad because it really made ATLA a lot more fun and we could laugh and get to know the characters fun sides and see that life wasn't always struggle because they were Just Kids we even got to see that the villains were just human too.
