reply for a colour, post 4 books you've read
I got orange 🧡 there's a surprising amount of orange books I've read and loved, but I narrowed it down to 4 https://t.co/XdFyDpJedf
17. They Called Us Enemy by George Takei, J.Eisinger, S.Scott, H.Becker, G.Lazcano
• the story of George Takei's family's imprisonment in a US concentration camp
• the conclusion could be more critical of the US imperialist/anti-immigrant politics but still a captivating read
15. Princess Princess Ever After by K. O'Neill
• sapphic 🌈
• a very, VERY short read (~50 pgs)
• cute and friendly for all ages
• a girl with a sword and a princess, need I say more ⚔️👸
12. Night Cry by Borja González
[translated from Spanish 🇪🇸]
• sapphic 🌈
• witches and summoning rituals 🧙♀️🕯️
• a dark and minimal but captivating art style that channels the vibe of a small mysterious town in the woods perfectly
8. The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang
• an exploration of gender norms and identity
• beautiful dresses and gowns 👗
• I feel like it's one of the more recommended options on this list, but it truly deserves to be recommended
4. Squad by Maggie Tokuda-Hall, Lisa Sterle
• sapphic 🌈
• Mean Girls + Jennifer's Body + werewolves 🐺
• honestly what else do you need. I was instantly sold by the above. SO good
• pop-art/old school comic books art style
5. I don't know if it's considered a niche ship but Amaya & Janai from The Dragon Prince are ELITE
1. the first one. the original one. they set the standard. HaruMichi for life
i really miss drawing, both digital and traditional😭but I had no spoons for it since march 2020. I really hope I can get back into it some time soon, maybe even later this year
