I also have really enjoyed a custom brush I found called "topic marker". That's given me some results I've really liked too!
Boosted by this I played around with a few different brushes and subjects and ideas for a while and was really happy with what I was able to do!
I'd always wanted to try realistic style digital painting. I figured I couldn't just jump in and do a decent job..but..impatient..so I tend to say "why build up to something when you could just try it and see what happens". This was the first one I did and I was super pleased!
Clearly I started getting a bit fed up of faces. I'd actually really enjoyed the Aizawa drawing (pink trousers) and the look of the black and white with pops of colour, so I explored that more but less with faces and more abstract imagery. I really like them!
January/February I continued with more experiments in digital character drawing and using different techniques. Now i was getting a bit more used to the drawing parts, I was eager to try different things that could add a little extra interest to them.
I keep meaning to share these..long story short...inspired by @TheRavener's cross stiching WIP photos..we decided, along with @MeikeZane, that we needed some "best buddies Bucky and Hei Hei" content so...I cracked out a new rough style and various scenarios...I've enjoyed these😂
I was playing #PokemonBrilliantDiamond and sometimes you gotta make the sacrifice play to win a battle and I made myself laugh thinking about how that would look in practice so I made a dumb comic #Pokemon #PokemonBDSP
