Today I ignored the rest of the universe and did the flats for my Link. Background colour is currently a place holder and subject to change.

Obligatory mention of my inktober of the year! Really pleased with how this one turned out. Consciously tried to make it less obvious where the lines separating each section were because it was a bit too clear last year.

imagination but still with some form of reference like drawing a pokemon in a different pose from the reference image i was looking at or having to be a bit creative merging different visual qualities together. So a good slight step out of comfort.

Shoutout at this point to the times I got commissioned to do art for things people actually wanted like..on their stuff?! Logo & cover designs! These were fun challenges and although i was doing new things each time, I finally had enough experience to do this kind of thing.

This eventually got boring doing lots of measuring and making things fit in places so i had a break. Decided I'd see what more I could get out of the new style I was trying. An artist I admire has a birthday in March so I used it as an excuse to draw a favourite character of hers

I liked the softer lines especially when it came to the hair, I was able to make it look less blocky and more..whispy...I tried using the style again with a drawing of Yakumo, also taking the opportunity to try some lighting stuff!

Everything I did looked too chunky and cumbersome, so I experimented with some different styles. Eventually I tried going back to my Pokemon Sword "team selfie" in 2019 where i had also experimented with a thinner line style and using something similar.

1 week until the new series of Dr Stone!! So excited. Finished my Senku. Really wanted to play with some bright colours since I love it in other art I've seen. Didn't want to go mad though so less is more!

Got my Senku flats! I might change the beaker tube thing colour wise and his hand might need a bit of a tweak but we'll see! I haven't abandoned Link.

No idea who or what this us. I was just catching up on some Christmas telly and had the desire to draw but not the desire to think so...i just opened Sketchbook Pro on my phone 😂
