I think this sequence with Aztek and the lizard shows off the two different competing sensibilities in Morrison and Millar (though the ideas and execution here may be completely different).

Bright heroes were half-dead, plastic reconstructions not quite sane any more, offering other bad guys 28 bucks because they knew the value of nothing.

(And I get the impression that Fixit would be dead if he asked for what it actually cost.)

Fitting way for Aztek to get his name, through the news. Though, I don't really see the similarities between his headgear and that of an Aztec or Incan warrior. Not enough plumage.

Major Force is the villain that fridged Green Lantern's girlfriend. He also killed Arisia. All around not a good dude.

What's kind of funny is that though he really was "dead" when this issue came out, he got better. A few times.

Aztek gets a name, fights a Force, and is suddenly seeing that all the world is green in Aztek #2 by Grant Morrison, Mark Millar, N. Steven Harris, Keith Champagne, Mike Danza, and Chris Eliopoulos.

The colour wash choices here from Mike Danza are nice. Along with Aztek learning of the broader machinations of the city and a possible avenue to investigate.
