Considering the middle-aged and overweight visual clone of Peter Pan is actually a mysterious villain who goes by the pseudonym "Mean Dean", there's no reason for this to not be Fat Cat in disguise.
It'd be amazing, if Fat Cat is back as the Big Bad of the #RescueRangers movie.
I'm still very excited for that "Looney Tunes Cartoons" film that will premiere on CN's ACME Night block, this year.
Written by Kevin Costello (screenwriter for "Brigsby Bear", "Tom & Jerry"), it will involve Porky and Daffy teaming up to save their town from an alien invasion.
"Nobody cares about the human characters in Tom and Jerry" is, in my opinion, one of the worst takes to come out of recent discussions of Tom & Jerry movies.
Sure, we all came for the cat and mouse. But, without human characters giving context and support to them, it won't work.
Kevin Costello is the kind of screenwriter to write a Tom and Jerry movie, and, to follow up with writing an upcoming movie based on HBO Max's Looney Tunes Cartoons, next.
Two animated films based on classic Golden Age cartoons, so far. :)
Most may not know this, but, Jim Davis did bring in a new series of Garfield shorts, by the name of "Garfield Originals", just two years ago.
There's no dialogue, but, I HIGHLY recommend you watching them. They were funny and felt like sketches from the comics brought to action.
The U.S. Acres better appear in the new Garfield movie.
I'll riot, if they don't.
The new film based on the new Looney Tunes Cartoons will also be written by Kevin Costello. (Brigsby Bear, Tom & Jerry)
It's great to see an avid fan of the Golden Age of Animation behind two films based on Golden Age cartoons, now. :)
I loved New Looney Tunes, especially for its amazing amount of creative concepts.
Pépé Le Pew as a James Bond-inspired French spy? Many obscure LT characters (even Gabby) returning? Speedy, Tweety, Gabby and Marc Anthony rescuing Hubie and Bertie from Sylvester, Pete and Claude?
Even coming from a DC fan, this is literally me right now:
