I saw The Lion King 1 1/2 for the first time today, and I am shocked that Timon’s Ma shares the same voice actress as Marge Simpson.
I guess it’s weird to hear Kavner’s more real voice after watching so much Simpsons.
Just a reminder that Nickelodeon has been doing a great job with LGBT representation in their recent shows.
I think they are better at it than Disney, who just puts their characters in front of a rainbow and calls it a day. #pride
It was a really smart move for Universal to buy DreamWorks Animation. There was an eleven year gap between two theatrical animated Universal films, which are 1995’s Balto and 2006’s Curious George.
Now Universal has more animated films in their library, including Shrek.
Reel FX’s 3D Looney Tunes shorts should have been attached to more popular Warner Bros movies, including Harry Potter.
Sure, Journey 2 and Yogi Bear were hits, but the other three films with the shorts were bombs. And “Flash in the Pain” never got a theatrical release. https://t.co/WbDcw1sRaA
I keep thinking about how these would be the only two original animated film IPs that Paramount Pictures would own if they were ever sold off by ViacomCBS.
That’s kinda sad.
@Crimson_Mayhem_ Planet Sheen also began life as an original DNA IP called "Red Acres," which was pitched to Nick, but was rejected for not staring a kid.
It was then pitched to Disney and CN, but got rejected. Before it was pitched to Nick again, Keith Alcorn turned it into a Neutron spinoff.
Just a reminder that there was going to be a Rango’s West area at a Paramount Park in Spain. The park never opened.
