I've drawn a lot of flying creatures over the years! Bats, ravens, and owls all show up often folklore and legends from around the world. They are symbols of mysticism, they're familiars, harbingers of death and doom, and associated with the macabre (everything I'm into!) 🖤🦇

Here's the very messy 2019 sketch and the 2013 painting! I drew over the 2013 piece with a light table, and then reworked the features I needed to fix (gave her a late 1850's dress and era-appropriate hairstyle, updated the goblin design, drew a background, etc)
