I know Johns did a lot of retconning to combine Superman's pre and post Crisis elements, but Clark not having any friends at the Planet while still being married to Lois feels clunky IMO
Action Comics #858 - December 2007
I'm reading the Heinberg/Dodsons run on Wonder Woman for the first time.
Thoughts:
- If Diana has to be with a dude, I like Nemesis a lot better than Trevor
- I think her Diana Prince look is rad
- I like that they incorporated the spin transformation from the TV show
In the latest Patreon exclusive episode, Superman confronts an old foe and battles his Id, Ego, and Superego as he struggles to overcome his guilt, as part of Superman In Exile

Superman generally stays clear of green stuff, but Joe El wishes you a Happy St Patrick's Day
The world can be a very scary place politically right now, and all the good thoughts in the world won't change things on their own. How we cope with those anxieties can greatly impact our own mental health though. Take a moment. Breathe. Embrace your joy
Action Comics #1040 was another outstanding issue by @PhillipKJohnson and @RicFederici , not just because it's immensely enjoyable, but also because it's a reminder of the power of hope in the face of cruelty
A team of Legionnaires goes back in time and joins forces with the Superboy to save Valor
Superboy #1 - November 1995
The page from Action 1039 by @PhillipKJohnson @RicFederici and #LeeLoughridge moved me to tears. Clark bearing the weight of so much responsibility for things set into motion long before he became aware of them and not being able to help is both crushing and inspiring
I'm working my way through the Johns/Donner run of Action for the first time and I'm REALLY enjoying it so far. I like how it keeps some of Byrne's reboot (Clark not having been in costume as Suoerboy), while jettisoning other elements (football star, etc)
