The Chiran design used to be random anthro animals, but was changed into equines as an homage to MLP.
Despite this, I still wanted to find a way to draw them that was distinct from how I drew ponies, while still being stylized and not too horse-ish.
Even though she's spent years of her life there, Teya can still find something new in her ancestor's library. A datapad with an uncorrupted string of text is already considered valuable- how much more a picture of the Old World?
Why yes, I did make an equine and bat race in my fantasy universe so that way I could still use the pony OCs near and dear to my heart going forward, why do you ask?
