WIP. I’ve never painted an all-black character. Much harder than I thought. Not easy to describe form without being able to use light/shadow very effectively. I’m learning a lot, which should come in handy for when I inevitably paint up The Silhouette! #comicsgate

@ComicsandCleave I like to think of drawing/painting as similar to sculpting to help give my forms 3D feel. Darker areas are “cut” into the page, lighter areas are like adding clay on top. Keeping in mind how light reacts with the forms is most important for rendering texture and everything else
