(4/5) an absolute joy for me. I'm getting very close to being able to take this game out of early access, the voice actors have done an amazing job. I honestly think Close Your Eyes in many ways represents the best of my early work before I step into some more ambitious projects,
(2/3) w/things like the game reading your computer clock for an in-game day & night cycle, experimenting w/a game that progresses when you close it, & sorta' puzzle box design. I feel I could've done more to make the earlier bits ease people, but I think it works as a slow-burn
(3/4) clear ambition in the game. The story starts off kinda' obnoxiously, but what eventually begins to come together bit by bit I'm quite proud of. I also was experimenting w/the idea of interrupted routine mundanity, basically get the player into a mindset of repeating actions
(2/4) addiction & isolation in an abandoned apartment complex, who goes off to meet her dealer, Aunti G. The game has 20+ endings, with the game changing as you collect more & more.
Red Haze was my first cmmercial game, & in some ways I think that shows, but I'm still proud of
(1/2) So I'm still not the biggest fan of how the Lying Figure looks in the remake, I like the gross glossy decaying look of the original, but it is evident the Silent Hill monsters are being designed closer to some of Ito's concept art designs for them. Which actually does fit
(92/94) swear must've been a bit inspired by The Evil Within 2's Stefano (it's not the same, just the pose, hair, reminded meo f him, plus RE:2 had very sus The Evil Within inspired costumes for Leon & Claire). You also get a couple filters, Sentinel Nine Handgun & SkillShaker
(3/26) interesting. I also wonder if Silent Hill f will be the final title, or just what it's called for now?
Let me also clarify upfront, Silent Hill f is NOT Sakura/Short Message. They're related, obviously, they've got the same motif going on & do share a connection. Ito also
(25/30)being a joy to explore, especially when you begin to learn of the secret passages in the walls & peepholes in creepy spots around. Its an actually engaging final main location w/a lot of great moments.
I even like the revelations that happen w/Travis here, & the boss that
(8/26) The QTEs were a bad call, & whoever thought to add them (probably because of RE4's recent popularity), they were badly implemented.
Also the first "Boss", Straightjacket, relying so heavily on QTEs sucks. And he looks too much like the SH2's Lying Figure. It is neat how
(2/3) If for some reason haven't checked it out, but love western animation, surprising horror for kids, small town mystery shows, horror love letters from everything from SAW to The Shining, it runs 52-episodes, its ended up my favorite interpretation of Scooby-Doo easily.
