It portrayed Hinata and Kageyama’s internal struggles stunningly, it hit the slice-of-life moments with a sense of variety and understated charm, and it really gave Nationals a true sense of occasion.

So that’s it for the first part of Haikyuu!!: To The Top!

On the whole, I was totally delighted with it. It presents the source material with a true understanding of the beauty of the story, and an artistry that matches the brilliant sense of prioritization.

It’s taken me a little bit but I think I’ve finally decided that I would die for Bokuto Koutarou.

AMAZING episode of Haikyuu this week! It really emphasized how truly grand Nationals is, with some great presentation for Hoshiumi and some awesome little cuts of animation throughout. I loved it, might be my favourite this season.

Along with containing one of my absolute favourite scenes in the series, Gintama’s Shinigami arc is gorgeous, with a great sense of coloring, beautiful storyboarding and shading.

It hit me really hard, in a way that the source material didn’t. Not faulting the manga in any way obviously but I’m just so glad that the adaptation could capture this part of the story so brilliantly for people like me who prefer anime.

I absolutely ADORED this episode of MHA! The music was great, direction and animation expressive and awesome, just overall so well put together. I was feeling kinda eh about the anime’s Cultural Festival, but these last two episodes have really pulled it together beautifully!

Life is wild. Everything seems to be going alright - you’re living happily, taking things day by day, working towards all of your goals..

..and then someone tells you that Hunter x Hunter is a seinen, throwing everything into disarray. I can never escape this spiraling abyss.

Attack on Titan was my first ever anime, & I’ll never forget how gripping & thrilling this episode was to me. I liked the show before it, but moving outside the walls - the vulnerability, Erwin’s tactics.. It opened my eyes to how visceral & pulsating the medium could really be.

I really love this moment for Kiyoko. Seeing her open up and find a way to fight to prolong what she cares most about was so touching.

These are her battles, too. She's right there with her boys. And she'll be gone soon to pass the torch onto Yachi - but not just yet.
