These days I don’t often care about fictional characters’ birthdays but today I’m making an exception because it’s HINATA SHOYO’S BIRTHDAY!

I’ll use any excuse to praise this boy. There’s no character that inspires or moves me quite like he does. My favourite protagonist ever❤️

Sodachi Riddle #1

Amazing episode, and Marina Inoue totally killed it.

For me one of the big reasons for why Bakemonogatari and Kizumonogatari are so good is because of Meme. It makes sense to use him in moderation but damn do I miss him after he leaves. Love this guy a ton.

I really love the idea of a character who suffers incredible pain and tragedy but who can find some small amount of comfort in the fact that there is a fragment out there where they do find happiness. It struck me in Umineko and it hit me again in Monogatari’s Mayoi Jiangshi.

Amazing.

I adore absolutely everything about the story, but to me the spirit of Berserk is very much encapsulated in those moments of respite, silence and reflection. In those moments it feels like Miura is speaking directly to us, pouring his soul out.

My big three

Shinobu and Araragi’s dynamic is so perfectly imperfect, raw and honest. It was one of the aspects of the series that always entranced me the most and absolutely nothing has changed in that regard. They’re each others’ worst enemies and closest confidants.
