Some IDIOT let an enormous couple of fireworks off nearby at 3am last night and this is the scene of when I turned my beside light on. I am Julie Andrews (natch) and Von Trapp children are my dogs

The conversation has turned to her being a widow.

Friend: “sometimes life is hard isn’t it?”

The elderly woman I love with all my heart: “it is, but it’s never hard forever. And you must always stay very interested in everything”

Me (in the background):

Why? Because I felt we needed to zoom in a bit. Really see the pile of garbage and junk he’s sitting on to make him seem small but also allow us to really focus in on him.
